As you can imagine, our policy is based on teaching with a colloquial language without the need to have previous knowledge of painting.

Precisely for that reason, we created two sections that help the public to understand very specific aspects (the section called #Capibases is designed to teach more specific aspects of the miniature as the creation of bases through water effects, ice or snow and reinforce those knowledges that can produce more headaches such as painting the eyes). And for those who want to start from scratch, we have the Painting With Vanessa section where all the knowledge is developed from scratch (how to make a wet palette, the tools we need to paint or the first steps with the airbrush).

On Patreon I teach my painting method: the capibases. This name is nothing more than a play on words between capi (my nickname) and bases (because I always use the paint less diluted in water, which is known as base coat).

To develop both, the theoretical and practical parts, we use as reference different miniatures that allow us to explain the different aspects that compose it; either the skin (female or male), different types of coats (real animals based on documentation or fantasy), light effects (the so-called OSL) and the famous NMM (metals made with non-metallic paint) among many others. Of all these aspects, we have examples in miniatures like Eruanne, Fairy, Lady Sibilla or Untamed Beast.

And as a complement to the videos, we have created ebooks for you to have all the information from a more practical point of view (a guide for you to have always at hand when you sit down to paint) where we focus on seeing the steps by steps through images with a brief explanation of what we are painting and why we do it that way.

As another of the aspects that I like the most is teaching, in the online classes we develop together with the student, a personal project from its approach to the final result. These classes are again adapted to the level that each person has and always seeks to optimize the time to resolve any doubts that may arise during the development of the project, provide exercises that facilitate the ability to learn in a more effective and faster way or simply help to correct and reinforce those aspects that are needed to give an extra quality to the project.
